What is shkodra lake?

Shkodra Lake is the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula and the largest lake in Southern Europe. It lies on the border of Albania and Montenegro and is fed by the Drin River. The lake has a maximum depth of 44 meters and covers an area of approximately 370 km². Shkodra Lake is known for its rich biodiversity, with over 270 species of birds, 50 species of fish, and over 30 species of mammals. The lake and its surrounding wetlands have been designated a Ramsar site, which is a wetland of international importance. The lake is also an important tourist attraction, with boat tours, fishing, and swimming being popular activities.
